The list of Organised Market Places (OMPs) is an official register compiled by ACER under the revised REMIT Implementing Regulation 2026/256, detailing all trading systems where wholesale energy products are traded across the EU and thus comply with the definition of OMP set in Article 2 of REMIT. This list encompasses energy exchanges, energy brokers, energy capacity platforms or any other systems or facilities in which multiple third-party buying or selling interests in wholesale energy products interact in a manner that may result in a transaction.
ACER is responsible for drawing up, publishing and maintaining a list of OMPs. Organised marketplaces are subject to notification requirements, ensuring that ACER and the NRAs dispose of up-to-date and reliable information about the activity on their platforms. OMPs are required to notify ACER to be included in the list and to submit identifying reference data before their first reporting.
By clearly identifying these marketplaces, ACER ensures transparency, helps prevent market manipulation, and supports effective oversight.
